4/28/2011 – IASF World Championships

Wow what a terrific  weekend in Orlando Florida. Our 3 worlds teams put on a great show capturing 2 top 10 placements in the World. This was the third consecutive year that CheerForce has taken 3 teams to the World Championships, an accomplishment UNMATCHED in Canadian Cheerleading.

Our new addition this season was our Open Level 6 AllGirl team. They had a great first performance on Saturday but a bobble in the pyramid cost them a qualification to finals.

The Open Coed 6 team put together 2 strong performances and finished in the 10th place. Finally our IOAG 5 team made some minor errors in both runs but still finished a very respectable 6th place in the World.

3/27/2011 – Spirit Sports – Battle at the Beach

This past weekend the Mountain, Steppe and Desert Wolves all invaded Myrtle Beach for the “Battle at the Beach” Nationals. 132 athletes in total (including the 2 Sr. teams from Tigers) left Wednesday March 23rd for a 20hr bus trip to Myrtle Beach.

The Junior team had 2 very good runs and were right in the running placing 4th – 5pts behind the 1st place Allstar 1 team and the perennially strong Stingray Allstars.

The Senior Coed team had 2 good runs also finishing in the middle of a 10 team division. They are definitely moving in the right direction with Nationals 6 weeks away. Lets Go Coed!!!!

The weekend belonged to the Senior 4.2 team though. After having an OK run on Saturday, but losing 2 girls to injury the team stepped up, regrouped and NAILED a great routine on Sunday. These ladies are pumped for Nationals.

A great weekend for all athletes and coaches. This competition will definitely be on the schedule next season. This time we hope with some nicer weather.

3/8/2011 – Cheer Evolution Provincials

2/26/2011 – NCA Allstar Nationals – Dallas

On February 25th and 25 The IOAG team competed in the “grand-daddy” of all “Allstar” competitions – the NCA Allstar Nationals. This year the competition hosted over 630 teams.
The GG’s were in tough this year with the likes of some of the top programs in the world.
After a rough run on Day 1 the girls regrouped and really put together a terrific run on Day 2. We placed 6th out of 9 incredible teams and reinforced for us what we had believed all season. The CheerForce GG’s will be a “Force” to be reckoned with on the World stage in Florida this April. Congrats girls.

1/18/2011 – JamFest Cheer Super Nationals – Indianapolis

Wolfpack’s Youth Arctic, Youth Black and Junior Bay wolves all headed to Indianapolis this past weekend for the JamFest Cheer Super Nationals.  All three teams did an amazing job showcasing their skills and talent.  The competition hosted over 500 teams (the 2nd biggest competition in the U.S.).  It was extremely well run and all 3 teams had a blast.  Everyone got to see some of the most talented cheerleaders from some of the biggest programs in the U.S. as well – it was very inspiring to watch.  The results were as follows:  Youth Arctic – 10th place; Youth Black – 14th place; Junior Bay – 6th place.  All teams’ skills were at par with the other teams in our division – now we just have to clean everything up even more!  Great job to all 3 teams!
